I feel like the front of our house starts looking pretty abandoned sometimes without a little cheeriness, especially since it never gets used..I guess the over-grown bushes don’t help either, but I kind of like them over-grown!

Especially in the Summer when they’re all covered in pink.I guess that’s done now, so I have no excuse!.Oh, and an update, just in the name of being honest: The straw bale actually isn’t there any more.

It’s now almost permanently in the back of the tractor for hay rides.I guess I can be OK with that.

Hay ridin’ cousins are pretty cute!.

I don’t have those pictures ready, so I’ll just have to spring them on you one day when you’re least expecting it.(Major exaggeration for effect.

But we mostly just had to buy deck screws, stain, and pretty decorations for fun.So not thousands like we would have spent otherwise to get this deck in working order.).

The most time consuming thing was cutting down all the old boards to make the spindles.We really thought the wood was in horrible shape and that we’d need to buy new wood, but once we got started we realized we had more than enough good wood to do what we wanted, and then some!
